Judah Cole was due 3/6/17. My C-section was scheduled for 2/28/17. I went into labor 2/5/17 and he was born 2/6/2017. 36 weeks - exactly 1 month early.
I again didn't know if I was in labor. I was having braxton hicks all day - sometimes 3 an hour, sometimes 13 an hour. Finally, I went in after advice from my sister-in-law (who I also like to refer to as MY Dr. George), Jenny:)
Thankful I went in. I was only dilated to 1 (which I had been for about a week) but the contractions got closer together, longer and started to become painful. After an hour and a half they checked me again and I was 4. At this point they knew he was coming. Luckily this was not considered an emergency, rather it was considered urgent. So, I was able to call Brian who had his mom come over to watch the kids and he headed to the hospital so we could have our Judah Cole!
He was officially born 2/6/17 at 2:23am and weighed 6lbs 6oz! He looks a lot like his daddy:)
He also shares a birthday with Bob Marley, which we don't see as a coincidence! Oh, and he shares with the great Amanda Green, a mom I met through basketball who is pretty darn amazing!
So, our rainbow baby has arrived. He is beautiful. His hair is so light (with some definite red), his eyes still blue, a very loud cry, man farts and lots of spit up! He wakes up every couple of hours to eat (I am breastfeeding) which makes for a very tired me, but, I wouldn't change it for the world.
Laying on that table while I was giving birth, I knew this was our last baby. I felt it. I also felt Jace with us the entire time. I was able to keep my necklace on during the birth (with his ashes in it) so he was close to my heart and also close to Judah. It's a bittersweet feeling knowing it's your last baby BUT I can say for certainty I am done. I'm content with my 5 children and still shocked I have that many. When I was younger I used to always say I wanted a lot of kids. In fact, I believe 5 was the number I always gave:)
I have so much more to say but little time right now. I've included some pictures of our 3rd boy, our rainbow baby.
